AR Soheb Chowdhury- Charfashion(Bhola) Correspondent:
Fishing trawlers and boats running on the muddy waters of Meghna and the waves seem to have made their destination in the destination of civilization.
The sky seemed to descend on the bank of the river in front of my eyes. The inseparable friendship of sand and water seems to have turned Mini Cox’s Bazar into Charfashion Upazila of Bhola.
On the beach of Khejurgachhia. Two kilometers away from Hazariganj union of the upazila, this date palm has a long and wide sea beach and a green Keora forest surrounded by various plants adjacent to the river.
The picture of the colorful boats and trawlers running from the next fishing ghat to the sea is like a watercolor painted by an artist.Hundreds of tourists also visit Khejurgachhia beach for various festivals including Eid and Puja.
Tourists say the government will also benefit from the Khejurgachhia tourist area, along with other areas of the upazila, if adequate recreational opportunities and tourist attractions are adopted through infrastructural development in the coastal areas with immense potential.
Local MP Abdullah Al Islam Jacob- chairman of the Standing Committee of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, wants to take the coastal region to the brink of potential tourism in order to build recreational infrastructure in the region and so Jacob’s efforts have led to institutional development in the Char Fashion and Monpura areas, as well as numerous recreational facilities.
Beach Char Tarua, along with the isolated chars Kukri-Mukri Union, is also being brought under eco-tourism.
Locals say the southern town of Charfashion will be a new horizon for tourism as soon as colorful tourism management is built to build sustainable embankments through development projects in coastal protection.
