Some bakuna calves have been distributed among the beneficiary fishermen as an alternative employment under the Hilsa Resource Development and Management Project at Bauphal in Patuakhali. The materials were distributed among the fishermen in front of the Upazila Fisheries Officer’s office at 11 am on Tuesday. The materials were distributed to the beneficiaries of seven unions of the upazila.

Among them, 15 cows have been given to 1 fisherman in Kachipara Union, 1 in Baga, 3 in Keshabpur, 3 in Dhulia, 2 in Nazirpur, 3 in Chandradwip and 2 in Kalaiya Union. Senior Fisheries Officer Mahbub Alam Talukder presided over the function, which was attended by among others, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Al Amin, Vice Chairman Maryam Begum Nishu, former Freedom Fighter Commander Samsul Alam Mia, Social Service Officer Md. Monirul Islam and Youth Development Officer. Mujibur Rahman and the general secretary of Bauphal Press Club M. Ohidujjaman Duke also presented there.
